CONSPIRACY IN EIRE / INTRIGUE WITH AXIS. DISCLOSURES IN THE DAIL. (Bv Telegraph—Press Association— Copyright) LONDON. January 29. Extremists of (the illegal Irish Republican Army and other organisations arc still trying to bring Germans to Eire, and are in constant communication with the Axis. , This was revealed in the Dail m a debate on an emergency powers military court. The Prime Minister. Mr Do Valera, revealed that the I.R.A. has declared war on Britain, and that another group, while keeping within the Constitution, is trying to bring in other people.” He said that if definite evidence was obtained, treason trials would be initiat The Minister of Justice. Mr Boland, referring to the 1.R.A.. said that a document which the police captured last month threatened that anyone helping “the enemy" would be shot.. Mr Dillon, Deputy-Leader of the Opposition. declared that the Government had not disclosed to the Dail the true nature of this conspiracy. Nazi agents had been dropped in Eire by parachute, and they had been arrested and were now in custody. These agents were well known to be in active colaboration with the I.R.A. One of them, Goertz, had landed by parachute, and had been in close contact with the I.R.A. for nine months before he was arrested. Hie I R.A. had availed themselves of the support of a foreign regime, whose agents were using the I.R.A. for the conquest of this part by a well-known i technique. Mr Dillon concluded: "The I.R.A. and other bodies are willing to play the part of Quislings. Gun bullies of the I.R.A. are drafting with these agents documents which are designed to do away with our elected Government. These murderers, saboteurs, perjurers and agents provocateur must be got rid of.”
