ROTARY CLUB

* RESUMPTION OF MEETINGS. The opening meeting of the Masterton Rotary Club was held today, under the presidency of Rotarian N. Lee, who welcomed the members and expressed the hope that throughout the year all Rotarians would help in the national effort. Rotarian F. M. Whyte, as sergeant-at-arms, visited the examination successes of the children on the various parents by way of fines for the Sunshine Box. Mr T. A. Cunningham, adviser on income tax matters, was inducted into Rotary, the inauguration officer being Rotarian C. R. Mabson. Rotarian P. F. Fagan gave a resume of his work as Motor Vehicle Controller during the last two months. He stated that arrangements for the Army Lines of Communication, Home Guard and E.P.S. were now well in hand. The president, as Group Controller of Hospitals, gave a" brief talk on hospital emergency organisation. The meeting closed with a vote of' thanks moved by Rotarian S. L. P. Free.
