SWIMMING
INTER=HOUSE CARNIVAL SUCCESSFUL GATHERING LAST NIGHT./ CUP TO STATE KITCHENETTE. The Masterton men’s baths was packed with spectators last evening, when the Wairarapa Interhouse Association held its third anual swimming carnival. Good entries were received for all events, and there were many close finishes in the finals. The aggregate cup for most points in all events was again won by the State Kitchenette team, which gained 47 points. The special points prize for the lady competitor gaining the most points in all events was won by Miss A. Davey with 12 points, M. Pauling and J. Aikman (9 points) being equal for second, ■ After the sports the competitors were entertained at the Catholic Services Club at supoer by the Wairarapa Interhouse Association. The thanks of the Association are extended to the Swimming Club officials for the assistance they gave in making the gathering such a success.
