STATE THEATRE

“OUR TOWN.” The picture, “Our Town,” which will be shown tonight, stars the actress who came into deserved prominence in “Three Cheers for Miss Bishop”—Martha Scott. A man leaned on a fence looking down on the small, sleeping town of Grover’s Corners. “Nice town,” he says. “Nobody very remarkable ever came out of it, so far as we know, but there's lots of human interest, lots of things we know everybody’s going to be interested in.” The picture tells a human story of absorbing interest. Other members of the cast include Fay Bainter, Guy Kibbee, Beulah Bondi, Thomas Mitchell, Stuart Erwin, and Frank Craven. The second picture “Conquest Of The Air” shows man’s first attempts to fly, and introduces such figures as Roger Bacon, Leonardo da Vinci, Bleiiot, the Wright brothers, and Amy Johnson.
