SITTING OF WAIRARAPA COMMITTEE MOBILISATION APPEALS DEALT WITH. MEN FOR TERRITORIAL SERVICE! A sitting of the Wairarapa Man Power Committee was held in Masterton this morning to deal with appeals connected with the recent Territorial mobilisation. There were present the chairman, Mr T. Jordan, and Messrs L. T. Daniell and F. Cole.

The following cases were dealt with, the name of the person lodging the appeal being given in parentheses after the reservist’s name: George Simpson, blacksmith (W. Spring), mobilisation postponed until February 28. J. Siemonek, farm hand (R. Simpsen), mobilisation postponed until March 31.

Henry Percy Blatchford, farm hand (Douglas Blatchford), adjourned until February 28. B. H. Bunny, farmer (D. J. Cameron), adjourned sine die. subject to service with the Home Guard. H. F. Cottle, farmer (reservist), mobilisation postponed until March 31. W. H. Parker, shepherd (Est. W. McKenzie), mobilisation postponed until March 31.

E. Vickers, fitter (Vacuum Oil Co., Ltd.), appeal dismissed. L. C. Jones, shepherd (A. S. Edmonds), adjourned sine die, subject to service with the Home Guard.

Wilfred J. Taggart, farm manager (Director of National Service), adjourned until April 30. ' R. M. L. Taylor, factory hand (Featherston Dairy Co.), mobilisation postponed until May 31. lan Craig, cheesemaker (Tawaha Dairy Co.), mobilisation postponed until May 31. James Kerr Foss, cheesemaker (Carrington Dairy Co.), mobilisation postponed until April 30. Sine die adjournments were given in the following cases, all appeals lodged by the Director of National Service: Allan Henry Skittrup, fireman, Cross Creek; Clarence Fiefield Faulkner, cleaner and acting fireman, Cross Creek; Robert Gordon Stuart Bryson, cleaner and acting fireman, Cross Creek; Allenby Henry Atkinson Tripe, cleaner and acting fireman. Cross Creek; Edward Victor Bert Flynn, cleaner and acting fireman, Cross Creek; Donald Ernest Hodgson, cleaner and acting fireman, Cross Creek; Graham Gordon Murrell, fitter, Cross Creek.

Adjournments until March 31 were made for the following: John Hugh Clarke, junior porter, Masterton; William Robert Dewar, junior porter, Masterton; Norman Charles Harris, junior porter, Grey town.
