WEDDING

FOLEY—BILDERBECK. At St. Matthew’s Church, Masterton, on Saturday the marriage took place of Alma Joan, eldest daughter of Mr and Mrs George Bilderbeck Kirtoq Street, Masterton, and lan Percy, only son of Mr and Mrs Pi W. Foley, of Hardy Street, Invercargill. The ceremony was performed by the Ven. Archdeacon Rich, and Mr Miller Hope presided at the organ. The bride, who was escorted by her father, was attired in a white satin ankle length dress. She carried a bouquet of. white lilies and pink gladioli. The orange blossom and veil were lent by Mrs D. Richards. The bride, was attended by her sister, Audrey, who was attired in delphinium blue taffeta of ankle length. She wore a silver and pink Juliet cap, silver shoes and carried a bouquet of pink lilies and hydrangeas. The best man was Mr Henry P. Kelly, of Wellington. After the wedding, a reception was held in the Savage Club Rooms. The guests were received by the bride’s parents. The bride's mother wore a brown ensemble and carried a posy to match. The bridegroom’s parents were unable to attend. The usual toasts were honoured. Mr and Mrs Foley left later for the South Island, the bride being attired in navy blue. Their future home will be at Hawea Flats, Central Otago.
