CIVIL CASES

MASTERTON COURT HEARINGS. Judgment for plaintiff by default was given in the following civil cases by Mr H. P. Lawry, S.M., at the Masterton Magistrate’s Court today:— Russell Howard v. P. Tullock, claim £l3, costs £2 17s; H. M. Morton and Son v. M. Southee, claim 6d, costs 15s. In a defended case, William Stimpson v. E. H. Schofield, claim £3 14s, in respect to payment for scrub-cutting, af.,ter the hearing of part of the evidence a sine die adjournment was granted. In a judgment summons case, Fagan Motors, Ltd., v. O. S. Byrne, the defendant was ordered to pay £6 18s Id forthwith, in default six days’ imprisonment; Para Rubber Co., Ltd., v. Clarence Tyacke. defandant was ordered to pay £1 13s forthwith; in default two days’ imprisonment.
