“Song of My Heart” will be finally shown tonight. “TARGET FOR TONIGHT.”
Through the documentary film the screen has been able to give a factual account of phases of modern war excelling that possible in any other medium. The documentary drama of war reaches its zenith in "Target for Tonight,” which will be shown tomorrow night. This film was made with the collaboration of the British Air Ministry, which set out to secure the accurate screen record of an air raid from the selection of the target to the release of the bombs on the Nazi industrial machine. The principal actor in the film is “F for Freddie.” one of the big bombers, and the supporting cast is composed of R.A.F. men who had been with “F for Freddie” in some big exploits. The scenery is the actual offices, aerodromes and hangars of the R.A.F. Bomber Command, the skies over England, occupied France and Nazi Germany. The audience is taken cn an authentic air raid and sees the bombs actually dropped over the industrial centre selected for the attack.
