PUBLIC NOTICES, PUBLIC NOTICE. SEASIDE RESIDENCES & BACHES. MASTERTON, CARTERTON, GREYTOWN, FEATHERSTON AND MARTINBOROUGH BOROUGHS; MASTERTON, CASTLEPOINT, WAIRARAPA SOUTH AND FEATHERSTON COUNTIES. TN conformity with the Lighting Restrictions Emergency Regulations, 1941, and Amendments thereto, and by direction of the Dominion Lighting i Controller, we hereby give Public i Notice and Order as follows: — (1) The owner of any seaside abode (of whatever kind and whether moveable or fixed to the soil), before giving possession hereafter of the whole or any part thereof to any other person oi' persons, shall fit or provide for window, fanlight, skylight, glazed door, or other similar thing therein a screen or blind which will comply with the requirements of the Lighting Restrictions Emergency Regulations, 1941. (2) The owner of any seaside abode (of whatever kind and whether moveable or fixed to the soil), having already given possession of the whole or any part thereof to any other person or persons for a period extending beyond the 15th day of December, 1941, shall on or before that date, fit or provide for window, fanlight, skylight, glazed door or other similar thing therein with a screen or blind which will comply with the requirements of the Lighting Restrictions Emergency Regulations, 1941. (3) Such owner shall thereafter maintain all screens or blinds in good repair and condition for use by all persons occupying or who may occupy such seaside abode. (4) For the purposes of this Order, “Owner” means the person who lets the abode for short periods whether he be the true owner or. a lessee or other tenant of the true owner. (5) “Abode” includes any building, house, bach, caravan, tent or structure whether or not completely en- , closed, whether permanently sited or moveable, and irrespective of the material of which it is made that is used for holiday accommodation. (6) “Seaside Abode” means any abode that may be sited for the night within sight of the open sea or that might be seen with aided vision from a point 150 feet above the open sea, or that might, if its windows are not suitably screened, contribute to skyglow that might be so seen. (7) Further notice is hereby given that ( the provisions of this “Order” will come into force on the 22nd day of January, 1942, and must be complied with immediately. THOS.
