NAZI PLOTTERS

ARRESTED IN ARGENTINA EXPOSURE OF SUBVERSIVE ACTIVITIES. MISUSE OF CHARITABLE FUNDS. (By Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright) (Received This Day, 11.45 a.m.) BUENOS AIRES. January 18. Fourteen prominent Germans, believed to form the general staff for Nazi fifth column activities in Argentina, have been arrested and are held incommunicado on charges of fraud. Warrants have been issued against six other German leaders. The fraud charges are based on evidence that the federation of German welfare and cultural societies, of which twenty of the suspects are members, collected funds for charitable purposes, but used the money for propaganda and subversive activities.
