Captures at Halfaya, which surrendered unconditionally on Saturday, include 5,500 prisoners, together with numerous guns of various calibres and quantities of war material accumulated within the strongly prepared defences. In the forward area, a Cairo communique reports, the position round El Agheila remains unchanged. Our fighters were active yesterday and attacked an enemy column 100 miles inside the Tripolitanian frontier. An enemy fighter was shot down south of Tobruk. All our aircraft returned safely from these and other operations.
