BRAVE NEW WORLD
INCOMES FOR HOUSEWIVES.
(British Official Wireless.) RUGBY, January 17. Dr. Edith Summerskill, Labour M.P. for West Fulham, told the Married Women’s Association that a Bill had been drafted giving wives the legal right to share the family income. She said that housewives were the only workers in this war conscripted without pay. “The brave new world we are promised must be planned for both sexes by both sexes.”
