MASTERTON BATTALION
ROUTINE ORDERS.
FULL DAY PARADE TOMORROW
Routine, orders for the Masterton Battalion of the Home Guard, issued by Major A. L. Hibbs, D.C.M.. ofiiccr commanding are: —
A N.C.O. class will be held on Tuesday, January 20, at 7.0 p.m. at the Municipal Hall.
A full day parade of H.Q., A and C companies will be held tomorrow for range practice at Opaki Rifle Club Range, Upper Plain. The Rifle Platoon will parade at 8.0 a.m. at the Municipal Hall. Tho remainder of H.Q., A and C companies will parade at the Municipal Hall at 8.30 a.m. Equipment required is as follows: Rifles, pullthroughs, all available webb equipment, overcoats, lunch, cup. Transport is being arranged. H.Q. A and C companies will parade at their respective drill halls on Thursday. January 22, at 7.0 p.m. Other centres will adhere to individual arrangements.
Return of Equipment.—All men marching out must return all equipment, including boots, to Q.M. Stqrc immediately. Action will .be taken against any Guardsman failing to do this.
Transfers, promotions and appointments. —H.Q. Company: B. V. Bodie to Lines of Communication Company. C Company: Cpl. L. H. Carter to be Sgt.; A. H. Ward to be Cpl.; Pvte Downes to be Cpl. E Company: J. McArley relinquishes rank of C.Q.M.S.; J. Bain relinquishes rank of Cpl.; C.S.M. G. McWhirter to be acting C.Q.M.S.; Cpl. J. Osborne to be Sgt.; L. Neighbours, G. Wilson, H. Mortensen to be Cpls.; A. Wilkin, H. McGovern to be L/Cpls. Marched in.—Ten recruits.

TOMORROW’S PARADE. ANNOUNCEMENT IF WET. Members of the Home Guard are advised that in the event of wet weather an announcement will be made by 2YA immediately following the news broadcast at 7 a.m. tomorrow if a postponement has been decided on.
