INCOME TAX
READJUSTMENT IN CANADA. PROVINCES TO BE COMPENSATED (By Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright) (Received This Day. 11.40 a.m.) OTTAWA, January 16. The Finance Minister, Mr J. L. Ilsley, announced that provincial and municipal corporation personal income, taxes will be withdrawn until a yean after the war, thus allowing the Fed? eral Government a complete monopoly in this field. The provinces will be paid almost £20,000,000 annually as com-5 pensation by the Government.
