MAGAZINES FOR TROOPS
GIFTS FROM UNITED STATES. (By Telegraph—Press Association.) WELLINGTON, This Day. A recent gift received by the National Patriotic Fund Board from the Anzac war relief organisation in the United States comprised four large bundles of leading American illustrated magazines. This came from the Pacific Coast division of the fund, at Los Angeles, and the magazines have since been distributed for the benefit of the men of the New Zealand armed forces. In a letter, the president of the Pacific Coast division intimated that the organisation would be willing to send further supplies of magazines. There is always a demand for worth-while reading material for the armed forces, not only in New Zealand but on ships and abroad. Contributions can be made through the War Library Service, which is under the direction of Mr G. T. Alley.
