PALMERSTON NORTH TRAGEDY. CORONER'S VERDICT. (By Telegraph—Press Association.) ‘PALMERSTON N„ January 8. The inquest into the death of Mrs Ida Gwen Speight. Park Road, whose body was found with the head battered at her home on November 25 last, was concluded before the coroner, Mr A. J. Graham, today. Evidence was given 'by Dr. T. H. Pullar, pathologist at the Palmerston North Hospital, and by Constable J. G. Gunn. The coroner returned a verdict that Mrs Speight died in Palmerston North on .November 25, 1941, from haemorrhage and lacerations of the brain homicidally sustained.
