DEAL BEING CONSIDERED IN BRITAIN PROTECTING INTERESTS OF DOMINIONS. PARTICULARLY NEW ZEALAND & AUSTRALIA. (By Telegraph—Press Association— Copyright) (Received This Day, 11.40 a.m.) LONDON, January 8. Mr Arthur Greenwood, in an interview, said he and Lord Woolton were at present in the midst of an important deal in regard to the purchase of Dominion raw materials and foodstuffs. Britain was doing all she could to protect the economic interests of the Dominions so that they would be able to face the post-war future with far greater confidence than otherwise would be possible. This applied particularly to New Zealand and Australia, which two Dominions were hardest hit by the shipping difficulties.
