GREETING FROM PRESIDENT ROOSEVELT. (By Telegraph—Press Association.) WELLINGTON, This Day. The following cablegram has been received by the Prime Minister, Mr Fraser, from the President of the United States, Mr Roosevelt: — “I greatly appreciate your cordial message for Christmas and the New Year. and in turn extend my good wishes io you and the people of New Zealand. We are proud to be associated with the people of New Zealand and the British Commonwealth in the defence of human freedom and liberty, and I am supremely confident in the final triumph of our great cause.”
