RENEWED EFFORT
URGED BY LORD BEAVERBROOK IN BRITISH WAR FACTORIES. HOPES FOR COMING YEAR. (British Official Wireless.) RUGBY, January 1. An appeal for a still greater effort in the coming year was the keynote of a cabled message from Lord Beaverbrook posted in all the Ministry of Supply factories. Lord Beaverbrook, after thanking the workers for all the labour and devotion of 1941, added: “I am confident in the new crisis of mankind that you will respond with renewed determination and unfaltering energy, remembering that emergency makes no appointment with leisure.” Ip a similar message to the Ministry of Supply staff, Lord Beaverbrook cabled: "Before many months roll by we may get over the top of the hill, but while we are still on the upward slopes we must labour hard together in developing every ingenuity and mobilising every resource.
