PLEDGE OF UNITED ACTION FULL USE OF RESOURCES AGAINST AXIS. JOINT DECLARATION AT WASHINGTON. LONDON, January 2. A White House announcement in Washington states that the United States, Great Britain, Russia, China, the Netherlands East Indies and 21 other nations have made a joint declaration, pledging themselves to make the fullest use of their resources against the Axis and not to make a separate peace with the enemy. It is officially stated that other nations may sign the declaration as well. In Washington today, President Roosevelt told pressmen today that an important announcement would be made from the While House late on Monday, as he and Mr Churchill had quickened the pace of Anglo-American war plans.
