“MAGNIFICENT!”
MR CHURCHILL THANKS BRITAIN’S INDUSTRIES. Mr Winston Churchill has written to the Federation of British Industries expressing the Government’s gratitude “for the magnificent contribution which all sections of industry have made and are making to the war effort.” The Prime Minister was congratulating the Federation upon the twentyfifth anniversary of its formation during the Great War. A message from the Federation to him stated that it was “proud once again to help in the marshalling of the forces of production to the single end of victory.” “Our fortunes in the struggle in which we are engaged,” Mr Churchill replied, “depend no less upon, the industrial than upon other aspects of our effort, and if we all pursue our course in the spirit of co-operation which animates your message, we may inarch forward with good confidence.”
