OBITUARY
MRS T. DEANE. The death occurred at the New Plymouth Hospital yesterday of Mrs T. Deane, formerly of Masterton, after a long illness. The late Mrs Deane was born in England 85 years ago. She came to New Zealand over sixty years ago and took up her residence in Masterton immediately after her arrival. She had resided here until eight years ago. The late Mrs Deane shared the hardship and adventures of the pioneers of this district; 'She was of a bright disposition and had made many friends who will regret to learn of her death. She is survived by a family of three sons (Messrs Jack, Taumarunui; James, Matamata, and George, Masterton), and four daughters, Mrs S. G. Trass, New Plymouth; P. Garvey, Hawera: E. H. Lett, Pahiatua, and E. K. Cameron, Hawera). There are a number of grandchildren and great grandchildren. • The funeral will take place in New Plymouth.
