STATE THEATRE
“TOM, DICK & HARRY.” The chief picture on the programme tonight will be “Tom, Dick and Harry,” presenting Ginger Rogers in a sparkling comedy portrayal. George Murphy, Alan Marshal and Burgess Meredith appear opposite the versatile principal, whose current light characterisatiqn is in direct contrast to her heavier Academy Award winning role in “Kitty Foyle.” The picture presents Miss Rogers as a romantic telephone operator who is engaged to George Murphy, an energetic salesman. 'The beautiful girl, however, yearns to meet Alan Marshal, son of the town’s wealthiest man. By a mistake she meets Burgess Meredith, an irresponsible mechanic and she becomes engaged to him. From here the romantic little telephone girl gets further entangled. There will be three sessions tomorrow —2.15 p.m., 7.45 p.m., and 10.30 p.m.
