GREYTOWN
THE RASPBERRY CROP PICKING LATE THIS SEASON. (“Times-Age” Special.) The raspberry crop is very late this year and picking will not commence till after the New Year. In past years picking has commenced a fortnight earlier. The heavy winds have damaged the early crops. i Personal. Mrs R. G. Vile returned to Greytown yesterday from a visit to Lower Hutt. Care of Stock. A special meeting of the Greytown members of the Farmers’ Union is to be held in the Fire Station on Friday evening, when the question of the care of stock in an emergency will be discussed. A full attendance of members is requested. TOWN HALL TONIGHT’S PROGRAMME. The gayest comedy-romance patrons could wish for will be shown tonight. It is “The Devil and Miss Jones,” starring Jean Arthur and Robert Cummings. (Approved for Universal Exhibition).
