WEDDING
BENNETT—TRESEDKR. The wedding took place on Saturday at St. James’s Church, Lower Hutt, of Betty Clyde, younger daughter of Mr W. V. Treseder and the late Mrs Treseder, Copeland Street, Lower Hutt, and John Chapman, son of Mr D. Bennett and the late Mrs Bennett, HoXbridge, Masterton. The ceremony was performed by the Rev. H. E. K. Fry and Miss Hart played the organ. The bride who was escorted by her father, wore a frock of hand-worked net over satin. Her embroidered veil was held in place with a cluster of orange blossom and she carried a bouquet of white roses, gladioli, larkspur and asters. Frocks of cream taffeta were worn by the bridesmaids, Miss Evelyn Simmons (cousin of the bride), and Miss Sheila Bennett (the bridegrooms sister). The sprays of pink cal " a^ 01 J and roses on their heads matched thei bouquets. „ Mr W T. Macfarlane, Lower Hutt, was best man and Mr J. R- Berney, Eketahuna, acted as groomsman. A reception was held at the home of the bride’s aunt, at Nikau Avel }. Leaving on the honeymoon the bride travelled in a clover frock and navy coat, hat and accessories.
