Patriotic Tennis Tourney.

The United Lawn Tennis Club will hold an open tournament in aid of the Patriotic Fund on New Year’s Day. Play will commence at 1 p.m. and will be run on a post en|ry system. Visitors to Masterton and players from local clubs arc invited to take part. Partners can be arranged for visitors. Sunday Rail Cars. It has been found impossible to accommodate all intending passengers on Sunday rail-cars, and the Railway Department has decided to replace all Sunday rail-cars, except those running to Masterton and further on, by steam trains, which will be used as far as Upper Hutt. Week-day rail-cars are not affected.
