RESOURCES MARSHALLED ON WORLD FRONT. (British Official Wireless.) (Received This Day, 11.10 a.m.) RUGBY, December 28. Washington messages state that President Roosevelt announced, after conferences yesterday between representatives of the twenty-five Allied governments, that excellent progress had been made in marshalling military and economic resources against the Axis on a world-wide front. 1 President Roosevelt said the conferences would be continued for an indefinite period, it being impossible to say when they will terminate. He promiseci to give more details later. The British Prime Minister (Mr Churchill) said: “We have advanced far along the route towards the achievement of our ultimate objective —the crushing defeat of those forces which attack and make war upon us.” President Roosevelt’s secretary, Mr S. Early, said the United States and British War Council talks would continue today.
