TARANAKI MEETING CHIEF RACE TO VITEMENT. MAHAINA WINS HACK CUP. (By Telegraph—Press Association.) NEW PLYMOUTH, December 28. The Taranaki Christmas meeting concluded in fine and warm weather, with the track in good order. The attendance was better than on'the first day and the totalisator handled £21,369 10s, compared with £26,252 on the second day last year. The total for the meeting was £40,043 10s, a decrease of £11,303 10s. B. Markwick, rider of Landveyor, ip the Hack Cup, was charged with causing interference to Tea Drop and Acquest at the home turn.
