LATEST OFFICIAL FORECAST FAIR TO CLOUDY. WITH MILDER TEMPERATURES. The following official weather report and forecast was issued by the Meteorological Office, Wellington, at noon today:— DISTRICT FORECAST: Moderate to fresh westerly to northwesterly winds predominant. Scattered showers in the ranges but elsewhere weather mostly fair to cloudy. Temperatures milder. FURTHER OUTLOOK: Little change. LOCAL REPORTS. Miss A. M. Brown reports as follows for the 24 hours ended 9 a.m. yesterday: —Barograph, 29.7; shade temperature, maximum, 55.9; minimum, 46.1; terrestrial, 45.2; sunshine, 9 hours 18 minutes; rain, 21 points. Miss Brown reports as follows for the 24 hours ended 9 a.m. today:—Barograph, 29.74; shade temperature, maximum, 61.4; minimum, 37.1; terrestrial, 28.4; sunshine, 9 hours; rain, trace; frost, 2 degrees. Mr H. M. Boddington reports that 32 points of rain fell at Solway during the 24 hours ended 9 a.m. yesterday, and 20 points during the 24 hours ended 9 a.m. today. PHASES OF THE MOON.
