Paris newspapers are discredited to such an extent as to amount almost to complete boycott. A person recently in Paris tells how the newspaper seilers are pleading for people to buy their papers in order to enable them to live. Gone are the days when the big piles of “Paris Soir” heaped up on the broad balustrade of the underground entrance at the Place de la Concorde rapidly disappeared. At that time “Paris Soir” had a circulation of close on'two million, the largest evening newspaper circulation in the world. TOILET ARTICLES MAKE USEFUL PRESENTS.
