PERSONAL
Mr and Mrs H. M. Sharpies, and family, Island Bay, Wellington, are the guests of Mrs R. Latham, Miriam Street, Masterton. The death occurred at Grey town on Wednesday of Mr Robert Cameron Wilson at the age of 55 years. He leaves a widow and two daughters. The engagement is announced of Alma Nola, daughter of Mr and Mrs C. H. Burgess, Cornwall Street, Masterton, to Gunner Reginald Leonard Roband, Otane, Hawke’s Bay. Major C. J. Williams, of Masterton, who has been serving with the New Zealand Expeditionary Force overseas, has returned from the Middle East and is spending a few days leave in Masterton with his wife and family.
The engagement is announced of Esther Winifred, daughter* of the Rev. and Mrs P. J. Wainwright, Island Bay, Wellington, to Gilbert John, eldest son of Mr M. and the late Mrs Godinagh, Alfredton.
The funeral of the late Mr W. W. Cameron took place on Wednesday afternoon, the Right Rev. John Davie officiating at the residence and at the graveside. Many beautiful wreaths were in evidence. The pall-bearers were Messrs D. Davey, W. Peterson,. W. Schaefer, J. Miller, A. Porter and A. Hutchinson. -
