VEHICLE IMPRESSMENT
FIRST NOTICES BEING SENT AT EARLY DATE. POSITION IN MASTERTON DISTRICT. The impressment of motor vehicles in the Masterton district is expected to commence at an early date when notices of intention of impressment in respect of a certain number of vehicles will be served on the registered owners from the Masterton Post Office. This notice will in due course be followed by the actual warrant •of impressment. It is desired to point out that the Valuing Committee will be at the respective vehicle collecting centres on certain dates only and that to ensure the smooth-working of the impressment scheme it is necessary that vehicle owners have their vehicles at the nominated collecting centres at the time and on the dates specified in their warrants of impressment. Failure to take such action renders them liable to severe penalties. No definite action is required to be taken by the owner for the delivery of a vehicle until the actual warrant of impressment has been received.
