CHAMPIONSHIP COMPETITIONS.
OLD EOYS LEAD IN SENIOR GRADE
The Wairarapa Cricket Association's championship competitions were continued on Saturday afternoon in fine weather. In the senior division Old Boys have scored three wins in a row and are now leading in the championship, a position they have not held for many years. Old Boys beat College and Red Star and Lansdowne played a drawn game. In the latter game Lansdowne at one stage had 8 wickets down for 74 but Hedley, Reeves and R. Whiteman saved the position for their team, making a draw of it.

Wairarapa College 127 (Towns 53, Jaine 25, Stevens; not out 19, Stewart 11; Robinson 6 for 29, Massey 3 for 42, Ashworth 1 for 23).

Eight points are counted for an outright win, 5 points for a first innings win and 2 points for a draw.
PRIMARY SCHOOLS
MASTERTON v. WELLINGTON.
A DRAWN GAME.
The cricket match between the Wellington and Masterton primary schools teams was concluded on Saturday and resulted in a draw. The thanks of the Masterton Schools Sports Association are due to those people who billeted the visitors, and to the Wairarapa Cricket Association for haivng financed a picture party. Masterton scored 71 (Hoar 16) and 120 (Smith 38, Ward 19, Reid 12, Simonsen 12, McGovern not out 10). Wellington made 120 in the first innings (Tullock, retired 38, Gerard 21, Garrett 17, Currie 11; Pamonson took 4 wickets, Smith 2, Irving 1 and Ward 1) and lost 6 wickets for 48 in the second innings (Tunzelman 21, Garrett 13; Parsonson captured 4 wickets, Hoar 1 and Ward 1).
IN OTHER CENTRES
Wellington.—The senior games on Saturday resulted as follow: Army (8 for 221 dec.) drew with Karori (5 for 74). Old Boys (1 for 266) beat Institute 254. Petone (196) beat Midland (139). Hutt 4 for 205 beat University 142. Kilbernie (4 for 244, dec.) beat Johnsonville (116 and 3 for 55). Dunedin. —Carisbrook B 173, beat University 170 for nine wickets.
