MYSTERY FIRE
IN AMERICAN CHEMICAL PLANT MAN KILLED & SEVERAL INJURED. HEAVY DAMAGE DONE. (By Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright) (Received This Day, 1.30 p.m.) WASHINGTON, December 14. One man was killed and several were injured when a 100,000-dollar fire destroyed the Spencer Kellogg chemical plant at Edgewater (New Jersey). A mysterious explosion, in two hydrogen tanks outside the plant, started the blaze.
