STILL HOLDING OUT
MARINES ON WAKE ISLAND ENEMY SUBMARINES • OFF HAWAII. MANY AMERICAN ATTACKS. LONDON, December 14. An American naval communique reports the continued resistance of American marines at Wake Island. The island was attacked again by Japanese bombers, two of which were shot down. Enemy submarines are operating in the region of Hawaii and many attacks against them have been made.
