A RECORD OF SERVICE AND PROGRESS The Annual Report for 1941 shows that the sound growth of the T. & G. has been well maintained. SERVICE —The T. &G.is a Mutual Life Society—it has no shareholders. In the forefront of its ideals it places fair dealing and service to its Policyholders. All claims are settled with the utmost promptness. £2,970,000 was paid to Policyholders last, financial year-nearly £lO,OOO every working day in the year. POPULARITY —The esteem in which the Society is held is shown by the fact that during the year a large number of existing Policyholders, in addition to new members, acquired protection for themselves and their dependants. In all, 159,244 new Policies assuring £14,827,338 were effected. SECURITY —The assets which are held in trust to meet Policy liabilities, now total more than £37,000,000 invested in first-class securities. BONUSES —As there are no shareholders, the greater portion of the surplus will be distributed to Policyholders in the form of Reversionary Bonuses, the balance being held as reserves against contingencies. WAR EFFORT —Over 500 members of the Society’s staff have enlisted for Active Service, and the Society has invested to the limit of its capacity in the various War Loans in Australia and New Zealand. The sum of almost £2,000,000 was contributed to Government Loans during the year. THE T. & G. SERVES THE NATION. PURELY MUTUAL NO SHAREHOLDERS. The T & C Mutual Australasian * • > Life Society.
