MUST HAVE UNITY
T EX-PRESIDENT HOOVER. ON WAR AGAINST JAPAN. (Received This Day, 9.40 a.m.) NEW YORK, December 9. A former President, Mr Herbert Hoover, formerly a strong opponent of President Roosevelt’s policies made this statement today: “There is just one job before the American people.. We must defeat this invasion by Japan. We must fight in any place that will defeat it. Upon this job we must have and will have unity in America.”
