KILLED IN ACTION
LIEUT. J. P. TREDRAY. Official word has been received that Lieut. John P. Tredray, of Eketahuna, and formerly of Masterton, had been killed in action in the Middle East. The late Lieut. Tredray was very popular in Masterton with a wide circle of friends who will deeply regret to hear of his death. While in Masterton he played for the Old Boys cricket and football clubs and represented Wairarapa in both branches of spoft, being an outstanding player. He was about 25 years of age and a married man. Of recent years he had been working on his father’s farm at Eketahuna.
