Goddard, Chief of Air Staff designate of New Zealand, has just completed a tour of R.A.A.F. and of Australian aviation interests before taking up his new duties. His journey to New Zealand has taken him through the Pacific bases of the American, British and Netherlands forces, as well as the principal centres of the Empire air training scheme in Canada and Australia. Air Commodore Goddard stated that the purpose of his tour was to allow him to make contacts and appreciate in fuller perspec-. tive the principal air problem of New Zealand, in relation to strategic policy reauirements and resources,
