MOSCOW FRONT
GERMANS CONCENTRATE 70 DIVISIONS SOME POSITIONS GAINED AT PRICE. RESOLUTE RUSSIAN DEFENCE. (British Official Wireless.) (Received This Day, 12.5 p.m.) RUGBY, November 30. On account of the fierce fighting cn the central front, a broadcast by the Kuibyshev radio states the Germans have concentrated seventy divisions and fighting is continuing without interruption. In spite cf the enemy’s numerical superiority, the Russian troops are constantly counter-attacking and inflicting heavy losses. Particularly heavy and fierce fighting is going on in the Klin sector, at some points of which the enemy has succeeded in pressing back the Russians, but “he is in fact advancing oyer the bodies of his soldiers.’’ In two days of sanguinary fighting in one town, the Germans lost more than 2,C00 men, sixty tanks and twelve guns. In the Volokalamsk sector, many attacks have been repulsed, but in one sector, near a certain town, the Russians have retreated to new positions. In the Mojaisk sector, enemy infantry attacks were also repulsed. There is strong artillery activity in the Malo Yaroslavets sector, where the Germans have lost heavily through the Russians shelling infantry concentrations. Tn the- Stalinogorsk sector, the Germans have succeeded in advancing to a certain village, but in another part of this sector the Russians took a village.
