TAKEN ON ENEMY SHIPS IN ARCTIC EIGHT SUNK AND SIX DAMAGED. ACHIEVEMENTS OF BRITISH SUBMARINES. (British Official Wireless.) RUGBY, November 29. British submarines have sunk eight enemy supply and troop transport ships in Arctic waters and damaged six others seriously. This is announced in an Admiralty communique, which states that submarines have been inflicting heavy losses on German troop transports and supply ships carrying reinforcements of men and material to the German armies on the Murmansk front. H.M.S. Trident has sunk five enemy ships and seriously damaged a sixth by torpedo.
