Though there have been nine positive cases of cerebro-spinal meningitis in the Wellington health district this month, there has been only one case reported in the last 11 days. One case was a baby of five months, another a baby of eight months, and two were children of two and eight years respectively. The other cases were adults. A report published in a Wellington paper that one of the cases had occurred in Masterton was not confirmed by the borough and district health inspectors, who reported a clean sheet as far as the Wairarapa was concerned.
