Recently Paulette Goddard, the film actress, sponsored a collection of aluminium pots and pans for U.S.A, defence purposes. Her inducement to the public effort was the offer of a kiss for the male bringing in the largest number. Commented Bob Hope: “Paulette Goddard seems to be kissing a lot of pans for a lot of pots.”
