RIOTS IN DENMARK

AGAINST ANTbCOMINTERN PACT DEMONSTRATORS DENOUNCE TRAITOR. CHEERING BEFORE KING'S PALACE. (By Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright) LONDON, November 26. A message from New York says that riots lasted all clay in Copenhagen as a result of Denmark’s signing the Anti-Comintern Pact. They began when crowds gathered at the Palace cheering the King, who was stated to be opposed to the signing of the pact and to have threatened to abdicate. German troops cleared the square fronting the palace, after which rioting occurred in various parts, particularly outside the Foreign Office, where a crowd shouted, “Down with the traitor Scavenius,” and also outside the German Army headquarters, where people sang “Tipperary.” Demonstrations continued far into the night.
