ART EXHIBITION

FINAL SESSION TONIGHT VISITS BY LOCAL SCHOOL CHILDREN. AMUSING ONE-ACT COMEDY ' LAST EVENING. Masterton and district residents will have a final opportunity this evening of viewing the art and antique exhibition which has been staged this week in the Municipal Hall by the Masterton Art Club. The exhibition will be closed at the conclusion of this evening’s session and will be disbanded tomorrow morning. Further parties of pupils from local schools visited the exhibition yesterday —two sections of Central School scholars, St. Matthew’s School girls, West School pupils and a further quota from Wairarapa College. Today, further Central School pupils and Whatman School children were to visit the exhibition.

Brimful of highly amusing situations and witty dialogue, “The Boy Comes Home,” a one-act comedy presented last night by members of the Masterton Little Theatre Society, proved most popular with the audience. Under the direction of Mr M. M. Simpson as producer, the comedy was well staged and faithfully portrayed by those taking part. The members of the cast were: Mrs Higgins, Mrs Robt. Miller; Aunt Emily, Mrs H. R. Keltie; Mary (maid), Miss Barbara Hair; Phillip, Mr Bruce Donnelly; Uncle James, Mr M. M. Simpson. -
