MOTOR VEHICLES
APPOINTMENT OF DISTRICT CONTROLLER AND ADVISORY COMMITTEE. EMERGENCY IMPRESSMENT REGULATIONS. Mr P. F. Fagan, of Masterton, has been appointed Motor-Vehicle . Controller for Masterton Vehicle District with headquarters at Masterton. The members of the advisory committee are as follows: Lieutenant G. R. Jackson, Army Office, Masterton, representing the army; Mr L. T. Daniell, Akura, Masterton, representing the farmers; Mr L. Pearson, c/o Transport (Wairarapa) Ltd., Masterton, representing transport; Mr C. W. Dickason, Short Street, Masterton, representing transport; and Mr G. T. O’Hara Smith, Town Clerk, Masterton, representing district E.P.S. organisations. The area under the jurisdiction of the committee will comprise the following:—The counties of Pahiatua, Akitio, Eketahuna, Mauriceville, Masterton, Castlepoint, Wairarapa South and Featherston, and the boroughs of Masterton, Pahiatua, Eketahuna, Carterton, Greytown, Featherston and Martinborough. Meetings of the committee have already been held in connection with its duties defined in the Motor-Vehicles Impressment Emergency Regulations, 1941.
