Miss Joyce Lyttle, of Masterton, is spending a holiday in Auckland. Mrs W. J. Spacxson, of Trentham, is visiting her daughter, Mrs F. Graham, Pownall Street, Masterton. Mrs L. Bartlett-Wright, nee Miss Olive Fish, of Wellington, is visiting Masterton. Miss Lambie, of the Health Department, Wellington, is on a visit to Masterton. The death occurred at Featherston on Sunday of Mrs Eliza Eleanor Tait, wife of Mr Mitchell B. Tait, at the age of 77 years. Lady Diana Duff Cooper, with her husband, Mr A. Duff Cooper, left Wellington by car this morning for Auckland. Mr and Mrs J. H. Cunningham and Miss K. Cunningham have returned to Masterton after spending a holiday at Tauranga. Miss Eva Wickens, of Masterton, has been appointed to a position on the staff of the Dannevirke Borough Council, and will take up her duties shortly. Miss Wickens has been the guest of honour at several parties in Masterton recently. ■ Mrs A. Church, High Street, Masterton, has returned to Masterton after a four weeks’ combined holiday and lecturing tour of Hawke’s Bay. She has been the guest of Major and Mrs Mahaffie, Hastings; Mrs J. Love ,Whakatu; Mrs C. Densham, Napier, and Mrs H. Hammond, Senr., Woodville. ’ Miss Angeline Bahout who has been at the State Theatre, Palmerston North, for the past eight years was entertained on Saturday night by the manager and staff prior to her leaving to take up another position in the city. The manager, Mr C. McNaught, in making a presentation to Miss Bahout, spoke very highly of the services she had rendered to the firm, and wished her all success and happiness in the future.
