MALAY PRINCE

ACCEPTED AS RECRUIT BY R.A.F. (British Official Wireless.) (Received This Day, 12.15 p.m.) RUGBY, November 24. Prince Mamud, the 22-year-old son of the late Sultan, and brother of present Sultan of Tregganau (Malay States) was today accepted by the R.A.F. for training as a pilot. On hearing of the acceptance the Prince said: “The exciting work of the R.A.F. has always attracted me. I felt I could not serve my country better than by becoming an airman. I am delighted to find that I am accepted as a pilot'.’’
