IN PRIVATE PETROL RATION WAR CABINET DECISION. ANNOUNCED BY MR SULLIVAN. (By Telegraph—Press Association.) WELLINGTON, This Day. The War Cabinet has decided, after a careful survey of the petrol position, to continue the present private petrol ration for the next two months,” the Minister of Industries (Mr Sullivan) stated today. “Coupons 11, 12 and 13, therefore, will be available for the months of December and January.” The Minister'added that the question of extra petrol for passenger services and taxis during the holiday period was at present under consideration by the War Cabinet and an announcement on this matter would be made at an early date. “The Government regrets that the war situation has prevented an increase in the private petrol ration during the holiday season,” said Mr Sflllivan, “but the position in the Pacific and the difficulty of augmenting our supplies have made this quite impossible.”
