WAIRARAPA ASSOCIATION ' i SENIOR CHAMPIONSHIP. FIRST ROUND COMPLETED. The first round of the Wairarapa Cricket Association’s senior championship was completed on Saturday afteinoon, the matches being played on the Wairarapa College ground on wickets that were on the dead side on account of recent rain, making it difficult to score runs. Red Star defeated Lansdowne and Old Boys scored a win over Wairarapa College. SENIOR CHAMPIONSHIP RED STAR V LANSDOWNE. GOOD INNINGS BY W. PETERSON. Lansdowne batted first and took an hour and forty minutes to score 83. Red Star completed their innings for 144, winning by 61 runs. W. Peterson, 58, played a good innings for Red Star. Scores:—
